Ever wanted to change your management contract, but couldn’t because you were locked into a long-term contract?  The good news is that the Virginia Legislature is catching up to what CFM contracts have said from the beginning.  Once VA HB1519 is signed into law on July 1, 2023, management contracts with an automatic renewal provision may be terminated by the association or unit owners’ association without cause upon not less than 60 days’ written notice.  If you’re interested in changing management companies, please consult with your community’s attorney as to what this new law might mean for your community.  Once you have guidance from your attorney, please feel free to reach out to us for a proposal.  We look forward to hearing from you.

If you don’t know the email address for your community manager, please email admin@communityfirstmanagement.com (including your name, address, and community name), and your message will be forwarded to the correct person.
If you would like to meet with your manager, we highly recommend scheduling an appointment, so the manager can guarantee their availability. If you don’t have email, a letter or note is also acceptable. Thank you for taking an active role in building your community!
