Brian Reese
CEO

Brian received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Minor in Business Management from Old Dominion University in 1985. He paid his way through college working at several local condominiums as a maintenance helper, inspector, clerk and community manager. Brian has served as a delegate on the Virginia State Legislative Action Committee for the Community Association Institute (CAI) and formerly completed a four year term as a Director on the Virginia Beach City Social Services Advisory Board, having served as Vice Chairman for 2 of those years. He is also past Chairman of the CAI Chapter’s Senior Manager’s Committee (the first of its kind in the Nation). Brian developed the ‘Manager’s Roundtable’, awarded Best New Program by CAI National in 2008. He has extensive training in mediation and alternative dispute resolution and he was awarded Committee of the Year / Volunteer of the Year by the CAI Chapter in 2008. Brian currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Beach Council of Civic Leagues.

An occasional guest speaker on National Public Radio programs and at state and local conferences on community association issues, Brian has over 40 years of experience in community management and earned the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation in 2005. He co-founded the Chesapeake Bay Area Manager’s Association in 2003 to help managers improve communications and professionalism with owners and streamline services. From 2001 to 2006 he served as the General Manager for Seagate Colony Condominium before joining Continental Management in mid-2006 when the company was a very small association management firm with 12 communities. When Continental was sold and stopped operations in May, 2011 the Company had grown to over 65 managed communities in Hampton Roads in less than 5 years. Brian opened Community First Management (CFM) in July 2011 to fill the void of quality, responsive management companies in the local market. CFM has since signed community management contracts with over 185 associations in its first nearly 12 years in business, and continues with phenomenal growth. He also currently serves as the paid Treasurer of Pacific South Condominium, a high-rise located at the Virginia Beach oceanfront.

Brian, his wife Jennifer, and three of their five children live in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach with their rescue cat, Tila, and rescue super dog, Arnie.
